Partnering with healthcare businesses to drive growth and impact
At Berg Lake, my mission is to acquire and grow an exceptional healthcare businesses dedicated to improving patient outcomes and transforming care delivery
About Me
With both parents in medicine, a family doctor, and a pediatrician, I always thought I’d follow a similar path. After studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, I shadowed various specialists but found myself drawn to family medicine for its holistic approach. Despite this, my parents, recognizing the decline of family medicine, suggested I consider other options. I ultimately pursued engineering and transitioned into sales and marketing, which led me to new opportunities outside of traditional medicine.
In 2018, I left my job to travel and help my father transition from a large healthcare system to Direct Primary Care (DPC). This shift eventually evolved into a successful concierge practice. With my experience and an MBA from the Ross School of Business, I launched a search fund to acquire a healthcare-focused business. My focus has been on healthcare software such as EHRs, RCMs, and RPMs and provider services such as medical billing, prior authorization, and PBM. I’ve realized that the system is broken—for both doctors and patients. My goal is to partner with exceptional healthcare businesses to honor their legacy and guide them toward continued growth and success.
I'm happily married and enjoy hiking, distance running, weightlifting, ultimate frisbee, cooking, and Japanese culture, having visited Japan eight times.
The Inspiration Behind Berg Lake
All the photos you’ve seen are from my hikes, and I chose the name Berg Lake because it was my favorite one. Located on Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, the 23-mile hike with over 4,000 feet of elevation gain is both challenging and rewarding. Along the way, I saw glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, and wildlife like moose and elk.
This hike symbolizes the journey I’m on with my search fund. The path is demanding, but like the hike, I believe the effort will lead to something truly meaningful—building on the legacy of exceptional healthcare businesses to create lasting value for all involved."
